They visited Entebbe hospital , meeting staff, patients and study participants and viewing the new infrastructure in the maternity depertment; they attended scientific presentations at UVRI and Makerere university and selected the winner for the 2010 UVRI undergraduate internship poster competition.

They visited Makerere, meeting the Vice Chancellor as well as PhD students within our Strategic Award scheme and from the Infectious Diseases Institute. They attended a reception where they met the Vice President of Uganda and the Chancellor of Makerere University, together with Wellcome trust funded colleagues from various institutions in Uganda. back
